Some of the happiest people on the planet

make this one of the happiest travel adventures in the world

Fiji is an extraordinary collection of more than 300 archipelago islands in the South Pacific. Typified by palm-lined golden sand beaches, brightly coloured lagoons, eco diverse coral reefs and rugged mountain hinterlands. But it is not just the scenery – travellers are drawn to Fiji for the locals who are amongst the happiest most smiling people you will meet on your journey. As they say in Fiji “Bulla to Fiji!.

Over 10 memorable self-guided days you will learn to live like a local, sharing traditionally made cava in a thatched roof bure, learn to cook a lovo meal in the earth ovens, visit thermal springs and mud pools, hike through rainforests and of course – snorkel, scuba dive, paddle board, sleep in a hammocks and drink cocktails as you island hop around Fiji! Our local guides meet you on each island showing you around and organising your adventures.

Nadi and Mamanuca

Fiji is a stunning nation of beautifully caring and happy people on tropical paradise islands. You arrive on the main commercial island and start your self guided journey in Nadi. You start your unique insight into the island way of life that has developed over 3500 years! A local U.Guide will take you out of a few active adventures such as zip lining, mountain biking or hiking, and the best part – ‘getting to know’ the locals as we share mud baths and thermal springs with them. Meet the locals – listen to their stories, learn the history and absorb the challenges facing ‘today’s Fiji’ and celebrate the simple values of the Fijian culture which have persevered for millennia.

From Nadi your first truly island experience is on Beachcomber Island made famous by the movie Castaway. Snorkel with the sea turtles in the warm coral laden waters or get active on the beach with some volleyball and cocktails.

  • Zipline, trek, swim, mountain bike, and hike on the mainland
  • Soak in thermal mud baths with the locals
  • Party on Beachcomber Island in the Mamanuca archipeligo
Yasawa Islands

Quintessential Fiji awaits you. Lush tropical islands fringed by golden palm tree lined beaches and colourful soft coral reefs. We head out to the Yasawa Islands chain and experience the other side of Fiji – Island Life! This is more about late starts and beach parties, snorkelling, diving and swimming. Sun rises give way to sun sets as we relax and step back from life as we know it. You can be as active or as relaxed as you choose – sway in hammocks under the frongs of palm trees while enjoying a cocktail, or paddle board around the lagoons.

  • Experience life below the sea with a guided outer reef snorkelling trip
  • Sunset cocktails on a cozy sunset cruise
  • Relax on the chalk-white sandy beaches, or paddle board, kayak and swim your days away
  • Safely swim with reef sharks

Ni sa bula vinaka!

Welcome to the beautiful island paradise of Fiji. Here, the locals are world famous for their smiles and open hospitality. Combined with a relaxed island life culture, Fiji should be on every travellers bucket list.

On arrival today you will be met by your local Fiji guide and transferred to your accommodation in Nadi. You’ll meet the rest of your tour group this evening over a delicious three-course welcome meal and set yourselves up for tomorrows adventures.

Welcome to Fiji!

You head out today to explore Nadi and learn a little more about the history of Fiji. You’ll start with a quick drive out to experience the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, settled amongst tropical rainforests at the base of The Sleeping Giant Mountain before heading onto the first of many adventures – a zipline above the rainforest canopy. With 5 zips to choose from and 2 waterfalls to play in, this is a fantastic way to start your Fiji adventure.

We finish the day with a relaxing roll in the mud followed by a soak in the Sabeto Thermal Mud Pool and Hot Springs. The pools, which are heated by an underground volcanic source, are said to have therapeutic properties, embraced as a Fijian wellness tradition so don’t be surprised that you’ll share the pools with locals and visitors alike.

Rainforests, Ziplines, Mud Baths and Hot Springs

We embark on our seafaring journeys today as we hop aboard a local ferry and head out to the idyllic collection of islands which make up the Mamanuca archipelago. Made internationally famous for hosting the movie Castaway with Tom Hanks, and more recently for hosting the American series of Survivor, there are 20 islands which host numerous water based activities with pure white palm tree lined sand beaches, coral reefs an an abundance of marine life.

We head to Beachcomber Island, our accommodation for the night, known for its enchanting tranquility by day, and more energetic party atmosphere! Snorkel in the tepid waters, seeking turtles amongst the reefs, play beach volleyball or relax with a cocktail on the beach – this is Fiji at it’s best!
