Port Stephens Dolphin Day Trip

Join us on a beautiful day out heading just two hours north over the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Port Stephens and north coast region – home of 26 wonderful golden sands beaches, diverse marine life and of course the local bottlenose dolphins.

Your day starts from Sydney a first stop at the wonderful Walkabout Wildlife Park, a wildlife rescue sanctuary for kangaroos, koalas, emus and other Australian animals. We arrive in the Port Stephens area to Nelson Bays where there are a host of cafes for lunch (not included) or bring a picnic and eat on the beach.

In the afternoon we speed the pace up by firstly heading on to the water to get to know the inquisitive local bottlenose dolphins within the bay. Bring your swimming gear as there is the opportunity to jump into the boom net off the boat and get close to the playful dolphins.

We then to head to Stockton Beach, home to the biggest sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere. We jump on the back of a big 4WD vehicle to venture amongst the huge Anna Bay dunes in search of the biggest dunes you think you can handle on a sand board. Head down face first, backwards, doubles or standing up – how adventurous do you feel?
