Tanzania – Real Safari Experience

Go on a real life safari on the savannah

Observe the animals and sleep in tents

Tanzania has a lot to offer and this trip combines the best of both worlds. Spend the first days with early mornings where we will meet the nocturnal animals on the way to their hiding spots after a night of hunting. Be amazed by the size of the elephants, the height of a giraffe and the roar of a lion. After a couple of days on the savannah, it is our turn to give back to the friendly community in the area. We will help enhance the children’s school life by helping out at the local primary school.

Tanzania Safari

This is an amazing adventure for anyone who wants to experience a true African safari. This adventure starts in the city of Arusha, located an hour from Kilimanjaro International Airport. Spend your first day in Arusha where you will meet the locals. We recommend you try a cold beer at the Old Railway Café before the welcome dinner in the evening.

The first 5 days of your adventure will be spent on the savannah, so remember to pack your safari hat, binoculars and sunscreen. These days will be spent scouting for The Big 5 along with many other animals that call the savannah their home. The lions and black mambas will be lurking in the high grass, the hippos are sunbathing in the watering holes while the crocodiles are waiting a bit further down the stream for their unaware prey. We will also be visiting the world’s largest unfilled volcano caldera and discovering what animals will be living in the crater.

During the safari, you will be sleeping in tents in the savannah to give you the most authentic experience. And since we are sleeping on the animal’s territory, they might come close to our camp, but no worries there will be guards there.

  • Get friendly with the locals in Arusha
  • Experience a true African safari with local guides
  • Sleep in tents in the savannah
  • Spot The Big 5 in their natural habitat
  • Watch how survival of the fittest is rule number one when predators are hunting for their prey

Today the adventure begins! You will most likely arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where a guide will meet you and take you to your hostel. You will have time to relax and get adjusted to the warmer weather before our welcome dinner in the evening.

(Dinner included)

Day 1 - Arusha

Grab your binoculars and safari hat – today is the first of many safaris! We will start at Tarangire National Park. This park is the closest one to Arusha and is also the largest. The park is known for having huge elephant herds, so keep your eyes open. You will spend the night in Karatu where you will be sleeping in two-person tents.

(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 2 - Tarangire National Park

Today we are gonna explore the world’s largest volcano crater. After breakfast, we will drive to the Conservation Area where you will have an amazing viewpoint over the crater. Hereafter we will continue the drive down into the crater where we will be scouting for animals. We will end the day at Serengeti National Park where we will sleep in tents in the savannah.

(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 3 - Ngorongoro Crater

You can decide if you want to spend the whole day in the park, or if you wanna return back to the lodge for lunch. No matter what you decide, you will spend the day driving around the park and spotting animals. The black mamba might be lurking in the high grass, the hippos laying in the watering holes and eagles in the sky – so look all around. In the evening we will fall asleep to the roar of the lions.

(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 4 - Serengeti National Park

We will spend another day in the park, trying to see if we can spot some new animals. We will be heading for the exit of the park and stop at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the way out of the park. Here you will have the opportunity to visit a real Maasai tribe and get to hear about their culture. At the end of the day, we will drive back to Arusha.

(Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 5 - Serengeti National Park

Today is the day where we give back to the locals and the community in the area of Arusha. We will help the local government primary school by enhancing the children’s school life. This is done by painting classrooms, repairing blackboards, building toilets and much more. It is possible to donate a small amount to the school if you want to.

(Breakfast and lunch included)

Day 6 - Arusha

After a week filled with unforgettable experiences, it is time to go home. Do you wish you could extend your stay? Don’t worry – extend with a week in paradise, more specifically Zanzibar! Ask our U. Crew for availability.

(Breakfast included)

U.Impact! Experiences

After five days in the savannah with lots of amazing experiences, we give back to the local friendly community. We don’t believe that children are there for entertainment.

Instead this U.Impact! Experience is about enhancing children’s school life, by helping out at the local government primary school. So, roll up your sleeves and be ready to paint classrooms, build toilets, repair blackboards and do lots of other work they can use our help with. If you want to, it will also be possible to donate money to the school at the end of the day.
